APPEX 2024: Less than two months until Melbourne’s premier packaging expo

Building on the legacy of the AUSPACK exhibitions, APPEX 2024 will be 50 per cent larger, taking over all 20 bays of the MCEC.

The Australasian Processing and Packaging Expo (APPEX) 2024, owned and presented by the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA), is set to be the largest business-to-business gathering for the processing and packaging industry in Australia.

Building on the legacy of the AUSPACK exhibitions, APPEX 2024 will be 50 per cent larger, taking over all 20 bays of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from March 12 to 15, with a sprawling 30,000 square feet of floor space.

This must-attend event for the processing and packaging industry will host over 350 exhibitors – some prominent exhibitors include Columbit, Schenck Process, TNA, MULTIVAC, Viscofan, Heat & Control, Oestergaard Pty Ltd, WAM Australia, Ulma and more.

Anticipating more than 12,000 visitors across the four days, APPEX 2024 will showcase the largest display of working machinery in the country.

The event will be divided into four zones—Materials & Packaging, Packaging Machinery, IT & Services, and Processing & Packaging Machinery—facilitating easy navigation for attendees. APPEX 2024 is run by the industry, for the industry, making it an all-encompassing event for Australian manufacturers.

Live demonstrations, a significant focus of the expo, will run throughout each day on the show floor, reinforcing APPEX as the largest event for working machinery in Australia.

Exhibitors at APPEX 2024 will highlight the latest equipment, technology, and innovation in machinery, ancillary equipment, materials, and packaging, covering food processing and industry services.

In addition to the exhibition, APPEX 2024 will feature educational initiatives and opportunities, including Meat Industry Day, the Food Industry Solution Series, and presentations from Robotics Australia exploring the role and future of robotics in processing and packaging.

The event will culminate in the Awards of Excellence, a gala dinner hosted by APPMA, expected to host more than 700 industry guests, celebrating excellence, innovation, leadership, and best practices in the Australian packaging and processing industry.

With registrations now open, APPEX 2024 is poised to be a platform for accelerated growth and innovation, propelling the industry and the country forward. For more information and to register, visit www.appex.com.au.
