Top food & beverage nominees announced for Naturally Good 2023 Awards

Australia’s most innovative natural health businesses in the food and beverage space have been announced for the Naturally Good 2023 Awards.

Australia’s most innovative natural health businesses in the highly competitive food and beverage space have been announced as nominees for the Naturally Good 2023 Awards.

The winners will be announced at the awards cocktail night on Monday, 5 June, at Sydney’s ICC.

In addition to food and beverage, awards will also be presented to businesses in the sectors of home and living, beauty and cosmetics, manufacturing, complementary medicine and retail leader.

With the awards having launched for the first time at Naturally Good last year, event product manager, Sinead Kavanagh, said the amount of interest this year had only built even further.

“We were so impressed by the calibre of entries,” she said. “The utmost care has been taken with everything from ingredients to packaging, manufacturing and branding for all these products, which are really making an impact in the healthy living space.”

Expert judges include James Lang – Moo Premium Foods; Jessica Maree Gordoun – Ranged; Peta Shulman – GoodnessMe Box; Didi Lo – Soulfresh; Bob Ratnarajah – Purpose with Profit; Niki Ford – Australian Organic; and Lisa Crawford Jones – Tomorrowstory.

Elato Ice Cream, Soulfresh Los Brothers, Teaesk, Chocolate on Purpose, SunJuse and Meru Miso all scored multiple nominations in different categories.

First-time exhibitors, Teaesk boutique tea and herbal blend brand has been nominated for both Best Beverage Product for Black Tea & Lemon Iced Tea, and for Best New Brand.

Teaesk’s head of innovation & marketing, Fabian Di Marco said for their first Naturally Good event, the company is looking to build more relationships with not just potential buyers and distributors, but also potential partners.

“We believe tea, and especially iced tea is an unrealised market,” he said.

“Not that there isn’t a market, there are 9 million people in Australia who drink tea once per month, but rather, there’s a gap in it. To build market awareness we need to collaborate with partners and work together with stockists and peers.”

Past 2022 award winners, Elato Ice Cream, are nominated this year for Best Food Product and Best Free from Product.

“The awards are worth entering, they are very well run,” said founder and CEO Roz Kaidor-Aroni. “It helps gain recognition in the community for a better for you brand.”
